What doesn't make you tick

It's amazing here on a college campus to see how different people's minds work.  In particular, it's amazing what kinds of information some of us do, and don't, retain.  I was studying for my history test which takes place tomorrow unfortunately and found myself being drowned by the crashing wave of over 100 vocab to know...ehk.  Two things occured to me while writing frantically about Catherine the Great: 1. I haven't had a world history class since 4th grade...and I have no idea what's going on in the world past. 2.  I think our minds are like different brands of sponges.  We all soak up something different.  Like people who actually understand all those biology journal articles in Science Magazine, (good for them) are Scotch-Brite and those who can paint anything are Magic Jetz. I honestly feel like a Mr. Clean magic eraser half the time cause I forget things if I don't really care about them and I definately don't care about Catherine the Great.  All of this information will be placed in my "Recyle Bin" to make room for new info until Finals in which case I will "restore all items" and then afterwards, return them to the recycle bin and EMPTY IT FOREVER....no really I do.  Not quite the case with things I like sort of like music, art, or English, and the easy science stuff.

What am I trying to say then?  It boils down to this - if a professor asks why you can't remember something just say "We differ in sponge type" or "I'm a Scotch -Brite."  Not Scottish....Scotch Brite.
